Chrysalis

Donate here if…

You are looking to donate professional clothing and want to help break down the barriers the homeless face in securing employment.

Mission

Chrysalis serves people navigating barriers to the workforce by offering a job-readiness program, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment. We empower our clients on their pathway to stability, security, and fulfillment in their work and lives.

What Chrysalis Does

Chrysalis is an organization that helps people prepare for, find, and keep jobs. They serve all those who are willing and able to work and offer a comprehensive job readiness program that addresses all aspects of the job search. Services in this program include helping with resume writing, creating a job search toolkit, providing professional attire, and providing participants with job referrals from community partners. Within weeks, participants are transformed into strong candidates for employment in our community.

Why I Love This Organization

Having a stable job is imperative in living a stable life, and Chrysalis empowers individuals to do so. Job candidates are often overlooked if they are not properly dressed. Therefore, donating professional clothing to Chrysalis can open doors for otherwise overlooked candidates.

What They Accept

Chrysalis is in need of professional attire that can be worn to a job interview or work. See here for information regarding what items are currently most in-demand. The organization cannot accept casual attire, athletic wear, worn out, dated, unclean clothing, shoes, or accessories.

Where Your Donation Ends Up

Your donation will be given to individuals that are currently part of their job readiness program. These individuals will wear the items you donate to either an interview or to work. Your donation may be worn immediately after being received and will have an instant impact on that individual’s livelihood.
